Ryo Shin Kay Kendo (Tenerife) presents a Kendo demonstration—modern Japanese fencing that preserves the spirit, discipline and values of the way of the sword. Using shinai (bamboo sword) and bōgu (protective armor), Kendō combines technique, distance, timing and determination, with strikes directed at regulated targets.
A powerful and elegant showcase that lets the audience experience the energy of kiai, the precision of movement, and the importance of respect and etiquette at the heart of the practice. Japanese tradition, brought to the square with intensity and character.
