Discover the art of bonsai with José Acuña, a leading reference in the Canary Islands and head of Centro Bonsái Tenerife. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basic principles of bonsai: selecting and “reading” the tree, essential care (watering, substrate and placement), pruning and pinching, introductory wiring, and design concepts to shape the tree with skill and respect for its natural growth.

Designed for beginners as well as enthusiasts looking to improve technique and results, the session includes step-by-step demonstrations, Q&A, and practical recommendations for bonsai maintenance in the Canary Islands’ climate. A rigorous yet accessible introduction to a Japanese tradition where patience, aesthetics and nature go hand in hand.
